Hayle Area Plan Partnership
Government

England is one of the most crowded countries in the world. Over 90 per cent of our population lives in urban areas covering just eight per cent of the land area. This makes how we plan for, and make decisions about, the future of our cities, towns and countryside extremely important. Read more about Planning...

In this section you will find planning guidance and policy documents, research and statistics and links to other related sites which further explain the planning system. See especially ODPM’s Planning Portal, a one-stop source of information for the general public, planners and local authorities.

GOSW represents Central Government in the South West region. We use Government policies and programmes to maximise the productivity, well-being and prosperity of the region and support the building of an inclusive and prosperous society that develops in a sustainable way.

The South West is the largest region in England, and one of the most varied. Since 1999, the South West of England Regional Development Agency (South West RDA) has helped boost the economic life of this wonderful part of the UK, and that work continues to grow and develop.
Delivering the Regional Economic Strategy (RES) for the South West of England provides the focus for all of the South West RDA's work. What we do - our activities, initiatives and projects - all contribute to and are shaped by the strategic drivers and objectives set out in the RES.
Our work is also guided by the cross-cutting principles of sustainable development and equal opportunities for all.

Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Economic Forum (CEF) is the over-arching economic development partnership for Cornwall and Isles of Scilly and is recognised and funded by the South West Regional Development Agency (SW RDA) as its Sub-Regional Partner (SRP), and by the County Council as its economic development partnership. Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Economic Forum has also been accepted as the economic arm of the Cornwall wide Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) charged with creating the Community Strategy. It is charged with delivering and monitoring the economic development priorities set out in this document for Cornwall. It exists to support, and more importantly influence and guide, the County Council and the South West RDA and other regional and sub-regional bodies, in their actions and initiatives so that the maximum benefit may be gained for the sustainable prosperity for Cornwall.

Objective One is one of three programmes set up to help reduce differences in social and economic conditions within the European Union (These three funding programmes are the biggest area of European spending after the Common Agricultural Policy).

Of the three, Objective One is the highest priority designation for European aid and is targeted at areas where prosperity, measured in Gross Value Added (GVA) per head of population, is 75% or less of the European average.

initiatives so that the maximum benefit may be gained for the sustainable prosperity for Cornwall.

An intitiative of Cornwall County Council in operation since 1999.  It is focussed on the economic development of Cornwall and supports local business while encouraging business to relocate here.

Local Organisations

If you are a resident of Hayle wishing to have an allotment consider joining this group.

Hayle Triathlon have been organising open water events since 2004 and have rapidly developed into the biggest race series in Cornwall. The Series consists of three separate events throughout the summer, based in the Penwith area.

Societies

The archaeology of Cornwall is distinctive in character and upstanding remains of all dates from prehistory until to the present contribute greatly to the richness of its landscape. Excavation and other research are continually providing new information about the communities who enjoyed this landscape before us.

This Society provides opportunities for everyone to learn about this heritage, to meet others with similar interests, and take part in activities which will help safeguard its future.
